American Consul General Donald Blome traveled to Jenin today to support Palestinian olive growers and farmers. He participated in this year’s Canaan Fair Trade Olive Harvest Festival, where he met with local olive growers and spoke about U.S. government support of Palestinian agriculture. For the fourth consecutive year, the U.S. Consulate General has participated in the Canaan Fair Trade Olive Harvest Festival in Jenin. “The United States has helped Palestinian olive growers increase their yields and tap into a rapidly growing global market for organic, fair trade products. Canaan Fair Trade has been a very valued partner of ours in this regard,” Mr. Blome said in his remarks.
